TAGB – Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain

We are a fun friendly club open to anyone. North Staffs Taekwondo (TKD) is a dynamic Korean martial art, characterised by patterns, sparring techniques, powerful techniques, particularly impressive high section and air-borne kicks.

Some choose to train to lose weight or keep fit, some love to compete in local and national competitions and others come because it is a great way for families to have fun together. Whatever your reasons for training with us you will find that Taekwondo has many benefits; increased fitness and flexibility, increased confidence, a means of self-defence, the opportunity to compete in competitions, become an umpire or instructor and make a bunch of great new friends! Each week everyone from complete beginners to black belts attend core sessions to learn kicking and punching techniques as well as patterns and self-defence. We run sparring training for all levels, in preparation for the wide range of competitions taking place throughout the year.

Taekwondo (TKD) is both a competitive, Olympic sport and a practical option for self-defence. TKD vastly improves one’s physical fitness, as well as increasing self-confidence and mental discipline.

North Staffordshire Taekwondo is affiliated to the British Taekwondo Council and the Taekwondo Association of Great Britain.

We train in a disciplined environment upholding the five tenets of Taekwondo – Courtesy, Integrity, Self-Control, Perseverance and Indomitable Spirit.

The club is a part of the T.A.G.B. (Taekwondo Association of Great Britain), the largest single martial arts association in Europe.
